We are thankful to be welcome on these lands in friendship. The lands we are situated on are covered by the Williams Treaties and are the traditional territory of the Mississaugas, a branch of the greater Anishinaabeg Nation, including Algonquin, Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi. These lands remain home to many Indigenous nations and peoples.
We acknowledge this land out of respect for the Indigenous nations who have cared for Turtle Island, also called North America, from before the arrival of settler peoples until this day. Most importantly, we acknowledge that the history of these lands has been tainted by poor treatment and a lack of friendship with the First Nations who call them home.
This history is something we are all affected by because we are all treaty people in Canada. We all have a shared history to reflect on, and each of us is affected by this history in different ways. Our past defines our present, but if we move forward as friends and allies, then it does not have to define our future.
You are coming to the university from a publicly funded College of Applied Arts and Technology. If you have applied to an Engineering program, please see the Engineering applicant page.
All documentation must be submitted prior to June 1 to ensure evaluation before the beginning of the fall semester. If your documentation is received after June 1, please be aware that the course add/drop deadline and refund dates will be in effect. If you receive transfer credit for any course(s) in which you are currently registered, it is your responsibility to make the necessary registration amendments through MyOntarioTech. Refer to the Academic Calendar for the tuition refund deadlines.
If you have been accepted into a bridge or direct entry program from an Ontario college, you will receive block transfer credits acknowledging your college-level academic work. You will see the transfer credit block in your preliminary assessment in your applicant portal upon offer to your program. Your entire diploma will be used towards this block.
If you completed courses in addition to your diploma, or attended another college or university, those courses will be assessed for transfer credit in addition to your block transfer credits. These courses will not immediately appear in your preliminary assessment with your block transfer credits. Please check your applicant portal regularly for updates.
College courses transfer at a 2:1 ratio. Although we will request syllabi for all of your college courses for which we do not have an existing equivalency, please keep in mind that these courses will need to be paired together to receive transfer credit. Paired college courses will need to share similar content in order to be eligible for transfer credit consideration.
A minimum grade of 70 per cent (B-) is required in each college course to be eligible for transfer.
Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certificates are not eligible for transfer credit toward the Bachelor of Allied Health Sciences degree.
