Ontario High School Student

You are taking courses during the day at an Ontario secondary school (this includes students returning for second semester and graduated students returning to upgrade one or more courses).
Canadian High School Student (Not in Ontario)

Canadian High School Student (Not in Ontario)

  • You are either currently completing your senior year in a Canadian secondary school outside of Ontario, OR
  • You have completed your secondary school diploma in a Canadian province or territory outside of Ontario, are under the age of 21, and have not attended any post-secondary institutions.
Ontario secondary school graduates

  • You have completed your senior year at a Canadian secondary school within the last 18 months.
  • You have no post-secondary education.
International student

International student

  • You are not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or currently attending a Canadian high school day program (in Canada or abroad).
  • You are currently studying or have studied outside of Canada.
TEAS applicants

  • You are in your final year of or possess an undergraduate degree.
  • You are interested in the Bachelor of Education program.
English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

You are interested in improving your English prior to academic studies.

    • You have a degree from the university and you would like to do one of the following:
      • Take an additional course.

    • You have not attended any post-secondary institution.
    • You have been away from formal education for at least two years.
    • You will be age 21 or older in the calendar year you start your program.
    • You are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

    • You have completed the Ontario secondary school curriculum (or equivalent) through a recognized home-schooling program.
    Non-degree and Visiting Student applicants

    Non-degree and Visiting Student applicants

    This application is for students who do not plan to pursue a degree at Ontario Tech. There are two types of applications available:

    • Non-degree: You plan to take up to two courses to explore a personal interest or you want to upgrade your university record to qualify for graduate or professional programs.
    • Visiting Student: You are currently attending another post-secondary institution and received permission from your home institution to take a course at the university.

How to apply

Choose your program(s)

Choose from over 120 undergraduate programs. At Ontario Tech, you can apply to up to three programs.

Understand the requirements

Admission requirements vary between programs. Be sure you understand the academic requirements for the program(s) you are applying to.

Apply through OUAC or our internal application

Submit your application through the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) or our internal application (if you are only applying to Ontario Tech)

Await your application decision

Our admission team processes applications on an ongoing basis. All undergraduate application decisions will be made by May 29, 2025.
